IN 2017-2018, PLANNED PARENTHOOD PERFORMED 332,757 ABORTIONS. THAT YEAR, IT HAD $1.9 BILLION IN ASSETS
Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., said she was appalled that Planned Parenthood affiliates received $80 million in forgivable loans under the Paycheck Protection Program and applauded the Trump Administration for demanding return of the funding.
Morse declared: “As an organization with more than 500 employees, Planned Parenthood doesn’t qualify for the program. Moreover, I don’t think this is the type of ‘business’ Congress and the administration had in mind when stimulus spending was authorized.”
In 2017-2018, Planned Parenthood performed 332,757 abortions. That year, it had $1.9 billion in assets. As independent filmmaker David Daleiden showed, a number of affiliates of the abortion giant made money selling aborted baby parts.
“The Sexual Revolution is largely supported by taxpayer dollars and government mandates,” Morse explained. “Contraception is an Obamacare mandate. Government agencies like the New York City Health Department promote the weirdest perversions imaginable. Public libraries provide a forum for Drag Queen Story Hour. And public education includes taxpayer-funded sex education that amounts to indoctrination and propaganda.”
Morse continued: “The Sexual Revolution is driven by elites who have forced the people to finance the destruction of their moral code. Billionaire donors like George Soros, Bill Gates and Warren Buffett finance abortion, contraception and sexual indoctrination. But they also spend their resources manipulating the political process to get funded by the US Treasury. Planned Parenthood’s brazen application for support from the Paycheck Protection Program shows how accustomed they are to feeding at the federal trough.
“These elites are so entrenched in the corridors of power that even in the Trump Administration, they found a way to get their hands on funding intended to keep small businesses and their employees going during the coronavirus shutdown.”
Morse said she was encouraged that the Small Business Administration is demanding that Planned Parenthood affiliates return the funds they received. She also called for safeguards to be put in place to prevent this from happening in the future.
